Australian law has changed when it comes to secrecy provisions in employment contracts, and it’s something all business owners and managers need to come to terms with. It’s now illegal to include any secrecy provision in new employment contracts. The chair of the small business peak industry body, the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA), says it’s unlikely the new law will drive up wages. However, Matthew Addison says it’s time to review, and change contracts for workers.
