According to government figures, more than a third of Australian businesses are owned by women and that proportion is rapidly growing. But female entrepreneurs still face hurdles not encountered by their male counterparts. That’s according to the Founder and CEO of Strategic Anarchy, Leela Cosgrove, who is one of the most active Australian advocates for women in business. She says that, while it is far more difficult for women to get venture capital or credit, it is home life, and the expectations of male partners, that is proving to be the biggest obstacle.
